OPPO Wi-Fi Watch vs OPPO Band

 OPPO Wi-Fi watch:

The OPPO Wi-Fi watch has a premium design and two sizes. It has features like GPS and NFC. It is very affordable as compared to its competitors.

Design:

OPPO Wi-Fi watch has a very aesthetic build. There are two unique casing sizes for the watch. For 41mm, the display is a flat glass front but for 46mm watch the glass front is dual-curved. Both watches have sports water resistance making swim tracking possible.

Display:

For a 41mm watch, the screen size is 1.6in and the display is 320 X 360 AMOLED. For a 46mm watch, the screen size is 1.91in and the display is 402 x 476 AMOLED. The information on both watches is clear and the color contrast is great too. The brightness can also be adjusted, automatically or manually. The OPPO watch’s display turns on using tap-to-wake, tilt-to-wake, or by pressing the button on its side.

Audio:

There is a speaker arrangement and microphone in the pair of slots on the left side of the watch. You can interact with google assistant and also take or make calls on your wrist.  The audio is loud and clear enough to listen to music.

Features:

Let’s take a look at the features offered by the OPPPO Wi-Fi watch.

Daily activity:

It shows activity and calories sessions, exercise time, and a breakdown of steps all day. It integrates with several Oppo watch face complications as well as Google Fit.

Work out apps:

There are workout apps made by OPPO that can monitor fat bur or fitness running. Whether you are walking or cycling outdoor, this app can track it.

5-minute workout apps:

It has entries like bedtime stretches and morning energizers. They help you stay well and keep moving around.

Sleep tracking:

Sleep tracking is also included in the experience, with a dedicated Sleep app, tile, and automated reports that can provide the period of the prior night's sleep as well as the difference between deep and light sleep states.

HeyTap app:

The HeyTap app goes above and beyond by allowing you to set a watch face that highlights a photo from your device's gallery or, more amazingly, generates a sequence of eight new faces that are color-matched to your outfit powered by Ai recognition.

Other features:

The oppo watch has all the basic apps covered. It has a world clock, stopwatch, timer, heart rate app, breathing app, and much more.

Fitness and tracking:

The native workout app only supports five activities, with a further five '5-minute workout' routines to choose from. Google Fit integration is already on the table. It may not be the best option for serious athletes but offers a much broader range of trackable activities than Oppo's apps do natively. It also has a heart rate sensor. Many third-party apps are also available, i.e., Strava, Adidas running app, etc.

Performance:

For the Wear OS smartwatches, Qualcomm Snapdragon wear is the go-to chipset. They deliver average performance, but to boost performance the OPPO Wi-Fi watch further pairs up Ambiq Micro Apollo3 Wireless SoC. With a generous 8GB of ROM and 8 GB of RAM, the Oppo smart Watch feels like one of the coolest Wear OS smartwatches on the market right now.

Battery:

The battery capacity for both watches is different. For the 41mm model, the battery capacity is 300mAh and for 46mm it is 430mAh. To increase the battery timing, use it in smart mode.

OPPO Band:

OPPO band is the fitness tracker. It monitors sleep routine, oxygen level, and workouts.

Design and display:

It has a pleasant, bright 1.1 inches touchscreen that displays the time, steps, date, and other basic information. The design doesn’t stand out from the crowd though. To navigate the menus and switch between the five different clock faces, you swipe in different directions. There are many more to choose from in the HeyTap app for Android, but only five can be stored on the Band at any given time.

Fitness tracking:

Simply wearing the Band allows it to track your calories burned, steps and sleep. However, this can track specific workout sessions, such as cycling, running, walking, swimming, rowing, yoga, free training, as well as badminton and cricket. However, because there is no automatic workout detection onboard, you must start and stop these manually.

It can also monitor your heart rate and blood oxygen levels using sensors on the back of the device. Although the Band lacks GPS, it does use an accelerometer to evaluate steps and can monitor your route if you have your mobile with you by using its GPS.

Smart features:

Aside from fitness, the Band can also wake you up in the morning, time your lasagna while it's cooking, provide a weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow, control music playback, and more.

When you use your phone's music player, the playback controls will show up on the Band by default. There's also a tool that will make your phone ring if you misplace it. Returning to the Find function, it is dependent on your phone's volume is set fairly high. You're unlikely to hear the ringing if it's quiet. Finally, there's a Breath app that works similarly to the one on the Apple Watch, guiding you through inhaling and exhaling and reporting your pulse rate at the end.

HeyTap is where you can choose whether to receive notifications from each of your phone's installed apps. You can't respond to messages or make phone calls on the Band, but you'll know when someone is calling, and you'll get a peek of messages. Of course, receiving notifications requires you to be within the Bluetooth range of your phone, which, thanks to Bluetooth 5.0, is quite large.

Battery:

The battery capacity is 100mAh and OPPO claims that it can last up to twelve days. If you receive a lot of notifications, then it won’t be able to last for 12 days.

Final verdict:

The OPPO Wi-Fi watch wins when the specs and features are compared. The Oppo Watch is a tour de force, with a premium build quality, two sizes, tones of functionality, and fantastic performance, all at a reasonable price. But if you are looking only for fitness tracking at a low price then buy the OPPO band. It has a better battery life than the Wi-Fi watches and offers the right kinds of fitness tracking apps.
